Xiaomi 17 Max is the upscaled version of the vanilla Xiaomi 17, but it brings slight upgrades. It’s said to have the biggest battery among all its siblings in the series. And yes, it even beats the Xiaomi 17 Ultra in that department. From what we’ve gathered as of yet, there’s a possibility of an 8,000 mAh battery on the Xiaomi 17 Max. That will plug into a 100W wired charging kit and a 50W wireless charging coil. Now, it will have a familiar design, specifically the camera. But they are going to promote Xiaomi 17 Max’s main camera to a 200MP ISOCELL HPX sensor with a 1/1.4” size. The basic Xiaomi 17 had a 50MP unit only. The rest of the setup may be the same. We’ll have the 50MP ultrawide, next to a standard 50MP periscope telephoto. And then a 50MP selfie unit could serve at the front. We hear that every one of those sensors and lenses is LEICA-optimized, and whatever features the existing siblings have, Xiaomi 17 Max will have as well. The cameras and the phone’s potential Hyper OS 3 Android 16 firmware run on a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. Xiaomi 17 Max is obviously a pure flagship device. We assume they’ve placed it under the Xiaomi 17 Pro, but above the vanilla Xiaomi 17. It may prove to be a Samsung Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus rival. Of course, many will lean toward the Xiaomi 17 Max due to its affordability.
