Xiaomi Redmi A5 was rebranded as Poco C71 in some markets. But there were no Pro versions for either of them last year. Their successors in 2026 have Pro monikers. Poco C81 Pro now has clearance for launch in multiple countries, and we learned that it could share specs with the Redmi A7 Pro. If that’s the case, we will be seeing a huge 6.9” screen on this device. It will just be an IPS LCD panel. We’re afraid these are simply low-end phones. HD+ 720p is their built-in resolution. The screen has a 20Hz refresh rate. Poco C81 Pro will grab the Unisoc T7250 SoC. That’s a 4G-only platform, by the way. It only has 4GB of RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of storage. The Poco C81 Pro will be huge, with enough room for a 6,000 mAh battery. The Redmi A5 and Poco C71 used 5,200 mAh cells. So the battery upgrade is massive. The selfie camera on this newcomer is 13MP. Poco C81 Pro’s main camera should be a 50MP lens. The phone could use Android 16 as it should in 2026, but the adjacent Redmi A7 Pro only has Android 15. If they are indeed twins, we’re afraid Xiaomi will go for the latter. The charging speed will remain 15W on Poco C81 Pro. These specs are still not enough to compare with the Samsung Galaxy A07, but Xiaomi’s phone is definitely more affordable.
