Vivo Y21 is reborn in 2026 with 5G support. There was a version of it in 2021, which aged like milk with a very forgettable design and specs. A massive power pack is built into this newcomer, and there’s a possibility of a high refresh rate. Vivo Y21 5G will have even better software support and durability. It hasn’t debuted yet, but it did grab the EU’s Energy label after testing. Vivo Y21 5G is rated IP65, so it is splashproof but not submersible. There are two battery variants for this device. One could arrive with a 5,250mAh cell (endurance ~52 hours). And the other has a bigger 6,500 mAh capacity (endurance ~67 hours). They are obviously region-specific trims. No matter the battery size, the charging speed will be similar across the board (45W). The original Y21 4G only had an 18W backup. That’s a big jump. The label didn’t have anything on its chipset, though it is a 5G device. We assume at least a Dimensity 6300 chip, which has been Vivo’s favourite in 2025. Vivo Y21 5G will commit to a 5-year support plan for security updates. And that’s more than enough time for its advertised 1600 cycles to last, before dropping the battery health below 80%. Samsung already has a contender in the Y21 5G’s league, which is the Galaxy A17 5G. But the newcomer’s price could make or break the public’s interest.
