Another generation of Xiaomi phones could carry a secondary screen. Xiaomi 18 Pro has surfaced in more than a few leaks. The spec sheet is slowly taking shape now. Sources agree that the battery is much bigger on this device. Xiaomi 17 Pro had a 6,300 mAh battery, which seems downright average among other Chinese phones. Well, the Xiaomi 18 Pro is expected to bring that number up to 7,000 mAh. It will be a two-day runner. The rumor mill also supports the claim that the 18 Pro could use not one, but dual 200MP cameras. The jump from a quad 50MP camera to 200MP main and 200MP periscope telephoto sounds insane on paper. We do have concerns about how this optical setup will affect the second screen on Xiaomi 18 Pro. There are also some yearly upgrades to look forward to. They’ll grab the new chip from Qualcomm. Some say the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 will be a 5 GHz CPU. And the phone will run on Android 17 when it’s launched. But only if Google had released a stable version of Android 17 a few months prior. The hardware must also include a wireless charging coil. Xiaomi 18 Pro has also been tipped for an Ultrasonic fingerprint ID. It is fully waterproof, though none of the leaks have specified whether it’s IP68 or IP69. The Xiaomi 18 Pro will be released way sooner than the Samsung Galaxy S27 trio. The real threat to Xiaomi will be the Vivo X500 series.
