Xiaomi Redmi 15A is new to the series. It’s a 5G device with a Unisoc chip. All the specs resemble Poco C85x, with some calling it a rebranded version. The design is a bit different, though. Redmi 15A 5G is built around a 6.9” IPS LCD at an HD+ 720p resolution. The pixels are pushed at 120Hz, which is lower than the Redmi 15’s 144Hz. Again, it has “A” in the name, so it’s meant to be a cut-down version. There’s a Unisoc T8300 (6nm) chip here with a 2.2 GHz clock speed. Think of it as a Helio G100 substitute, but with 5G support. Redmi 15A has a base trim with 4GB RAM. Xiaomi wired it to 64GB of storage. But you can upgrade it to 8GB RAM and 128 GB. The OS is upgraded, by the way. Redmi 15A strings together the hardware with Android 16/Hyper OS 3 build. Apparently, they’ve committed to at least four years of OS updates and 6 years of patches. Everything runs on a 6300mAh battery inside the Redmi 15A. The endurance will be great, but the charging will be sluggish at a 15W input only. The chassis is rated IP52 splashproof with partial dust ingress safety. The main lens on the camera deco is a 32MP shooter. They’ve linked it to an 8MP selfie shooter on the front. The fingerprint reader is on the side. They’ve added dual-band WiFi here with Bluetooth 5.3. Redmi 15A 5G sits in the same price range as the Samsung Galaxy A07 5G, but the upgrade plan is far better on the latter.
