Apple iPhone SE 4 Might Follow the Design Language of iPhone 16 with Dynamic Island

The eagerly awaited Apple iPhone SE 4 is rumored to debut in 2025, bringing along a design inspired by the upcoming iPhone 16, according to a recent leak by notable insider Majin Bu. Contrary to previous speculations about borrowing from the iPhone 14, the SE 4 will likely embrace the trend of the Dynamic Island and feature a single rear camera.

Majin Bu's tweet suggests that the iPhone SE 4's design will resemble the in-development iPhone 16, including the Dynamic Island and a singular rear-facing camera. Its dimensions will mirror those of the iPhone XR, with a height of 5.94 inches, a width of 2.98 inches, and a depth of 0.33 inches.

However, the leaker wisely advises taking this information with a grain of salt, acknowledging the early stage of development. Adding weight to these speculations, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo hinted that the iPhone SE 4 would flaunt a 6.1-inch OLED panel. His speculation also aligns with rumors about the device adopting the design language of the iPhone 16.

Kuo further anticipates the introduction of Apple's in-house 5G modem chip, potentially replacing the Snapdragon 5G modems found in regular iPhone models. Rumors suggest Apple might introduce new iPhone budget models in 2025 or later, potentially equipped with their own 5G modem chips.

While the rumored Apple 5G modem on the iPhone SE 4 might not support the elusive mmWave 5G signals for ultra-fast data speeds, it should score compatibility with sub-6GHz 5G signals, covering mid-band and C-band signals.

A lingering question surrounds the choice of CPU for the Apple iPhone SE 4. With a potential 2025 release, speculations hint at the company equipping it with either the old 3nm A17 Pro SoC or the 3nm A18 Bionic chipset slated for the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. In either case, it will be a marked improvement over the iPhone SE 3 from 2022.
