Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Flip 8 Reservations Begin, Launch Date Confirmed, Renders Leaked

Galaxy Unpacked event is happening on June 22nd. This was confirmed by Samsung, and as they made this announcement, reservations were also opened for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Flip 8. Every product that’s supposed to launch at said event was just leaked by Android Headlines with renders. This is everything you need to know.

These are not pre-orders, but if you did make a reservation, a $30 credit gift will be waiting for those buyers at pre-orders. Pakistani folks shouldn’t hold their breath, though. This is all for the US market only. Such offers usually vary from region to region.   

There are three folding models, which you may already know: Samsung latest Fold mobile, Flip 8, and Fold 8 Ultra. Galaxy Watch 9 and Watch Ultra 2 are also about to be announced at the Unpacked. Every product here was leaked with its own set of images, and all previewed their colors as well.

There’s the Z Fold 8. It’s the vanilla model. Though it’s more apt to call the phone Galaxy Z Fold 8 (Wide). This is the version they want to pit against iPhone Ultra. It’s said that the phone’s main screen is 7.6” and the cover display is 5.5”, and it’s built on a 4:3 aspect ratio.

The weight of the wide fold is 200g. 4.5mm is the thickness (unfolded), and 9.7mm when it’s slapped shut. Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 pulls the load here, and its potential battery size is 4800 mAh. Color options are in the photos here: Cream, Graphite, or Lavender.

The model that should’ve kept the vanilla status is the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. This is your standard tall version of the Z Fold series. White and Black are the main colors. And there’s also one in Purple. They’ll put a 5000mAh battery on it, a big jump from the Z Fold 7’s 4400mAh.

The charging speeds are kept down to 45W. Even the Ultra has the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and 12GB RAM. 200MP main unit is found in the Ultra, and so is a 50MP ultrawide and 3X 10MP telephoto.

There’s also a flip model in the group. It’s the Galaxy Z Flip 8, which is the least premium flagship here. They want to put an Exynos 2600 on it. Yes, this is a 2nm x 10-core chip, but it doesn’t perform nearly as well as the SD 8 Elite Gen 5.

The Colors are Pink and Graphite. There’s also a White option like the others. 4300mAh is the Flip 8’s battery size, and it’s supposed to weigh only 180g. Every model is a tad more expensive than the parent Z Flip and Fold 7. The event is going to be held in London on July 22nd. Keep watching the news for more updates.
