Honor 700 Series Leaks Again with Rear Display, 9000mAh Battery & 200MP Camera

November is almost here, and it’s the tentative launch month for the Honor 700 series. There’s no specific date as of yet, sadly. But leakers have been actively tracking down the specs on the Honor 700 and Honor 700 Pro. We’ve found some new details on Weibo.

Digital Chat Station got his hands on an engineering sample, and every day he shares new details about it. Not sure if his new Weibo post talks about the vanilla or Pro version, but one of the phones in the series will fit a 6.57” medium 1.5K display on top.

This will be a flat panel, and the bezels will shrink again for an extra body-to-screen ratio. Of course, this helps the design as well. The older Honor 600 series had a magnetic snap-on accessory with a rear display, which wasn’t intuitive at all, not to mention the extra price.

They want to put a proper rear screen on both phones now, and it will be a native 1.72” display. Yes, every report so far has predicted the same display for the basic Honor 700 and 700 Pro. This will be your viewfinder for rear selfies, since that’s usually one of the primary goals for such a feature.

The main camera is 200MP, and this would also do selfies when the rear display is active. The Honor new Flagship mobile even has the same 50MP periscope telephoto. Four colors are reported in the leak: Azure/Pink Mist/Sky Blue/Cool White. Again, we can’t say if this palette is for the Pro or non-Pro Honor 700.

They’ll put a 9,000mAh battery on the Pro. The last model only had a 7,000 mAh cell, so this would be a major boon for endurance. They are stuck with the same charging, though. The phone will reuse the 80W wired charging kit and a 50W wireless charging coil. We’ll soon know how accurate these details are. Keep watching the news for more updates.
