Oppo Price in Pakistan for F17; Expected to Arrive Soon with an 'Ultra-sleek Design' Language

OPPO recently unveiled the F17 series globally, featuring the Oppo F17 and the F17 Pro. The spotlight was on the ‘Pro’ edition, touted as ‘the sleekest 2020 phone’, but a week later, we’re now introduced to the standard edition as well. Let’s take a look.

Right out of the gate, you find that the Oppo F17 Pro or the standard F17 aren’t just build on Oppo’s typical design playbook — the edges are flat, the F17's back is made up of faux leather, and the camera island boxy. Think the Google Pixel 4a, but with a more vibrant color palette.

The F17 comes in three different editions: Dynamic Orange, Navy Blue, and Classic Silver. And headlined, of course, with the running ‘sleek’ theme. At 163g and 7.45mm, the phone certainly is featherweight.

If you’re not a fan of the wide hole-punch in the ‘Pro’ model, the Oppo F17 with its notched 6.44” SuperAMOLED display might appeal to you better. It’s an edge-to-edge panel, reaching an FHD+ resolution and a 90.7% screen-to-body ratio. Oppo has embedded a hidden fingerprint scanner under it. Not unlike its ‘Pro’ brother, the fluid high refresh rate is missing, however.

The phone is designed with a focus on aesthetics, but the performance seems solid too. Oppo’s newest 30W VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 powers its 4,015 mAh battery, which in turn runs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 mobile platform. Released earlier this year, the chipset is the latest in Qualcomm’s 600 series and promises ‘best-in-class’ performance. Rounding off these internals is either 6GB or 8GB of memory and 128GB of storage.

An Oppo mid-ranger won’t be complete without a selfie-first camera setup, and the F17 is no different. You’re looking at a 16MP front camera, powered by a dedicated ‘Front Night Mode’ and ‘AI Beautification 2.0’. Four cameras are mounted on the back, made of a 16MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a couple of 2MP sensors. The handset is expected to starts from 40,000 Pak rupees.
