Oppo Find N5 Expected to be the Most Powerful Foldable in the First Half of 2025

Other companies may not release their next foldables in the first half of 2025 and so, for at least those six months, Oppo Find N5 might become the most powerful folding phone of all time. They allegedly had plans to release the N5 sometime this year, but we are hearing rumors that the timeline has been moved up to Q1 2025.

Smart Pikachu posted on Weibo about this N5 Fold and said it is the “most powerful foldable” in the “first half of 2025.” The leaker thinks there might not be any other competitor for this fold within the time frame from January to June next year.

It’s not definitive, and these companies change their plans more than you think, so we have to be cautious of taking Pikachu’s words at face value alone. Still, if we look at the typical launch timelines of other folding phones the leaker’s claim isn’t too far off.

The Oppo's upcoming foldable phone may even be the first folding phone with Snapdragon 8 Elite within it, hence why, the leaker said “most powerful.” We’ve also heard of another interpretation of this claim: some other brand may launch a folding phone in the time frame, but it won’t have a chipset as powerful as the Snapdragon 8 Elite.

His leak also said the Find N5 has a circular module and three 50 MP cameras slapped on top. This time, it will be even thinner and lighter in appearance with metal texture and magnetic wireless charging — quite a lot of upgrades to look forward to.
