Xiaomi POCO M4 Pro 5G Performance Benchmarked Before its Launch on November 9
POCO M-series is the budget-friendly line of phones from the Xioami sub-brand. It’s soon getting a successor to the POCO M3 Pro. Official teasers put the launch date on November 9, 2021. You can catch the online event on Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube. In the meantime, the POCO M4 Pro was benchmarked on a popular cross-platform benchmark.
Xiaomi POCO M4 Pro 5G is featured on the Geekbench 5 database under the model number “21091116AC.” Before we get into the performance points, we’ll review the system specs attached with the scorecard.
The M4 Pro 5G runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 810 — a mid-range 5G chip that peaks at 2.4GHz. The platform works with 8GB of multitasking memory and the latest build of MIUI based on Android 11.
Xiaomi's new model hits 603 points on single-core tests and manages 1779 points when engaging all cores. In contrast to the last-gen POCO M3 Pro, which delivers 457/1390 points, it’s a big step up in performance. POCO has also bumped up the memory size, so multitasking should be smoother this time.
We also learn from public listings that the POCO M4 Pro 5G supports NFC payments and upwards of 33W charging. POCO phones are, more often than not, rebranded Redmi phones. The M4 Pro 5G might be the latest instance of such a renamed Redmi product. We’ll know for sure when the phone launches next month.
