Samsung Galaxy A23 5G to be Unveiled Soon; Pricing Tipped by an Online Retailer

We previously witnessed the launch of the Samsung Galaxy A23 4G variant. Now, another 5G variant of the handset is gearing up for a debut. The A23 5G has already received crucial certifications from Geekbench, BIS, and FCC websites. Now a recent report from Gizpie has also revealed the pricing details.

The news was first reported by Gizpie as the publisher somehow manages to grab the Price list from a European online retailer. Per the report, the Samsung Galaxy A23 5G could cost around 300 European pounds or around 86,000 Pakistani Rupees for the 4GB/64GB variant, as per the current exchange rate. However, do note that the European prices are always on the higher side.

The retailer listed the device in Black, White, and Light Blue finishes. For comparison, the predecessor Galaxy A22 5G was made available for €230, which is €70 less than the latest model's price. The A23 5G has been listed with a model code SM-A236B across all certification sites.

According to Geekbench, Samsung's latest 5G model will rock a Snapdragon 695 SoC boasting an incremental upgrade over the 4G model's Snapdragon 680 chipset. Moreover, last week's FCC listing confirmed the Galaxy A23 5G to be powered by a 5,000 mAh power cell supporting 25W QuickCharge technology and operating on Android 12-based OneUI 4.1. The display could be a 6.6’’ 1080p IPS panel with 90 Hz refresh rate.

The photography game could be handled by a quad camera setup having a 50MP SK Hynix main lens as the major highlight. Other sensors include a 5MP ultrawide lens and a duo of 2MP lenses for depth sensing and macro imaging. The Galaxy A23 5G could skip a stereo speaker setup, but a 3.5mm jack and Type-C port would be included.

Samsung doesn't confirm an official launch date. However, the A23 5G will expectedly arrive after the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, where the manufacturer will reveal its foldables. The chances of the Samsung Galaxy A23 5G coming to the Pakistani market are very thin on the ground as we don't have a 5G infrastructure yet and the 4G variant of the handset is already available in the market.
