Samsung Galaxy A54 and A34 Roll Out; Unleashed with Mighty SoCs and 120Hz AMOLED Screens

It's official; Samsung's intensely awaited Awesome duo just got unveiled, aptly named the Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A34. The newcomers are out to impress with features appealing to a broad range of users. While both devices bear similar designs, they also have a few differences that set them apart. Here's an in-depth overview.

Samsung Galaxy A54

As the name suggests, Galaxy A54 is a slot above A34 featuring better photography and higher-end SoC. While they both share a triple silo camera design and identical chassis, Galaxy A54 is slightly compact with a screen size of 6.4 inches. An sAMOLED panel beneath the screen offers 120Hz refresh and FHD+ resolution.

Galaxy A54 has Samsung's all-new Exynos 1380 processor at the helm, boasting multiple Cortex-A78 cores at 2.4 GHz frequency. Its memory hub tops at 8GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. Plugged into a 5000mAh cell, the phone boots to an Android 13 OS atop OneUI 5.1.

Its cameras are the high point in its spec sheet. A54 packs a punch with a 50MP alpha shooter stabilized by hardware OIS, while secondary cameras include a 12MP ultra-wide and a 5MP depth mapper. For selfies, A54 has a 32MP snapper hiding. So far, the phone has only launched in Europe, and the starter 6+128GB variant costs 489 Euros (~PKR 146,500).

Samsung Galaxy A34

The lower-end sib from the Awesome lineup has a slightly taller screen at 6.6 inches. Underneath is the same sAMOLED panel bearing 120Hz motion and FHD+ resolution. Both phones share designs from side rails to stacked camera lenses, and it is hard to tell them apart. Their builds are also IP67 certified.

The engine inside Galaxy A34 is MediaTek Dimensity 1080 plugged into a 5000mAh cell. Its stock memory options include 8+256 and 6+128GB. In photography, A34 offers 48MP primary and 8MP ultra-wide, while the third lens is an auxiliary macro shooter.

The selfie shooter on A34 is 13MP. The phone costs slightly less since it is in the second slot, starting at 389 Euros (~PKR 116,500). In essentials, both newcomers sport Android 13, USB-C port 25W, NFC, Bluetooth 5.3, WiFi, 5G, and Dual VoLTE.
