Samsung Galaxy A55 5G Secures 3C Certification with Familiar 25W Charging

Samsung Galaxy A-series is gearing up for new additions. The Galaxy A55 5G recently appeared on the 3C certification, confirming its imminent launch. The device, bearing the model number SM-A5560, comes with 25W charging, maintaining the same input speed as its predecessor, the Galaxy A54.

Notably, the 3C certification reaffirms the omission of a charger from the retail box, following the industry trend. While the certification details don't delve into specific features, it does confirm the 5G capability of the Galaxy A55. Previous reports also suggest the device will secure Samsung's Exynos 1480 processor.

This chipset will likely feature an octa-core architecture comprising four efficiency cores running at 2.05GHz and four high-performance cores clocked at 2.75GHz. An exciting fact about the Exynos 1480 is the inclusion of Xclipse 530 GPU, likely based on AMD's RDNA 2 graphics.

The Xclipse series is Samsung's branding for GPUs rooted in AMD's graphics architecture. While the Xclipse 9xx series is available in high-end GPUs like the Exynos 2200 and Exynos 2400, the Xclipse 5xx series is expected to cater to mid-range models, possibly built on the RDNA 2 architecture, which means the Samsung 5G new model might support Raytracing and AMD infinity cache.
