Samsung Galaxy A56, A36, and A26 are Coming Soon; TUV Hints at Charging Speeds

Galaxy A series of the Korean tech giant isn't complete yet. So far, only Galaxy A06 and A16 have gone official, while the Samsung Galaxy A36, A56, and A26 are still on their way. All three phones secured TUV Rheinland certifications yesterday, which eradicates all the doubts and mixed theories about their charging speeds.

The Galaxy A26 isn’t surprising. TUV says that the phone supports input of 9V and 2.77A, which the Samsung phone usually advertises as 25W. The older A25 also had the same charging speed, and its battery pack was 5000 mAh. Since Samsung isn’t generous with power upgrades at entry level, we’ll probably get the same battery on the A26 as well.

Galaxy A56 and A36 are different stories since they scored a charging bump this year. From the details exposed by TUV, all the A56 model and A36 versions are listed for DC 10V x 4.5A, which is calculated as 45W input, almost double the speed of Samsung Galaxy A35 and A55.

This platform didn’t reveal any other specs, but we have gathered plenty from earlier reports, certifications, and Geekbench tests. After the FCC’s recent update to the database with the latest Samsung A mobile, A56, we learned that Android 15 One UI 7 runs on the phone by default.

A56 also indexed the battery size at TENAA. This Chinese certifier confirmed that the phone has a 4,905mAh rated typical cell, which Samsung prefers to advertise as 5000mAh. This phone is also headed for a design change, both A56 and A36 are, with flatter edges and a brand-new look for the camera island.

Geekbench revealed even more interesting specs with chipset and RAM. A56 has been spotted over and over again with Exynos 1580, which is going to be Samsung Foundry’s fastest midrange chip yet. The scores from Geekbench tests show that it trades blows with Snapdragon 888.

Samsung might even allow this Galaxy A56 up to 12 GB RAM, but the base RAM will remain your standard 8 GB. Galaxy A36 is suspected with either Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 or Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, but the information for this device along with the Samsung Galaxy A26 has been less than accurate, so we leave it up to the future leaks for more context. Until then, you might want to stick around for more news and updates.
