Samsung Galaxy M62 Leaked, Benchmarked, and Certified; Features a 7000 mAh Battery

Samsung often introduces experimental features with the Galaxy M-series before they make their way to their mainstream lineups. Their first 7000 mAh launched with the Galaxy M51. And it’s soon returning with the Samsung Galaxy M62. It’s a first-generation Galaxy M phone that has been certified, benchmarked, and leaked in photos.

The American FCC database lists the Samsung mobile Galaxy M62 under the model number “SM-M625F/DS” and “SM-E625F/DS”. According to the official documentation, the M62 features a massive 7000 mAh battery (the battery model name is the same as Galaxy M41), 25W fast charging, and a reliable 3.5mm headphone jack.

Its scorecard on Geekbench 5 details the internal specifications for the upcoming Galaxy M phone. The M62 is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 9825 chip. It’s a flagship-grade chip from mid-2019 that first debuted with the Galaxy Note 10 series.

Coupled with 6GB of memory and the latest Android11-based OneUI 3, the Galaxy M62 hits 763 points on its single-core tests. And peaks at 1933 points when using multiple cores. Currently, the A series is going strong in Pakistan with handsets like Samsung Galaxy A51 and A31 but the arrival of the new beast may shift the focus to the new M series.

The Samsung Galaxy M62 has a standard solitary hole-punch cutout for its front camera. Around the back, we’re looking at a squarish bump for the camera grid. The shell has a glass finish, which is seemingly a fingerprint magnet.

Reports suggest that the M62 offers at least 256GB of storage. Old-gen flagship chip, high-capacity battery, and large storage make the M62 a premium mid-range Galaxy. Samsung has been rebranding Galaxy M-series phones as Galaxy F models, so the M62 may very well debut as the Galaxy F62. We’ll keep you posted as the story develops.
