Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra All Set for a Visual Makeover; No Curves, Boxy Design

A recent leak by renowned tipster Ice Universe unveiled screen protectors designed for Samsung's upcoming trio. The leak suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S24 series will maintain overall design continuity with its predecessors, as hinted by previous mock-up units.

The Standard/Plus models showcase rounded corners, while the Ultra version retains the sharp corners reminiscent of its forerunner. However, the most striking visual change is the Ultra’s departure from the curved screen.

The leaked screen protector for the Galaxy S24 Ultra boasts a flat screen, a significant shift that could be a welcome addition for users frustrated with accidental touches on curved displays. Examining the protectors, they align with previous reports indicating symmetrical bezels that might be marginally thinner than the current generation.

The Galaxy S24 exhibits a slightly larger display, making it taller and slimmer, while the other models might be thicker than their predecessors. On the rear side, the Samsung 5G new model's popular triple-silo camera design will also remain identical to the previous base models.

The removal of the curved screen is a noteworthy decision, considering its aesthetic appeal but also its drawbacks, such as susceptibility to accidental touches and challenges in applying screen protectors. The leak suggests a move towards a more user-friendly, flat-screen design.

Expected to debut in January 2024, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will likely feature a titanium frame, a peak brightness of 2,500 nits, and a shift from the periscope camera to a 48MP telephoto unit with 5x zoom. As Samsung redefines its flagship lineup, the fans eagerly await the practical implications of these design changes.
