Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro & S27 Ultra Battery Pictures Appear in Safety Korea Listing

There has been some new development on the Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro and S27 Ultra’s battery situation. It’s true what they say about the size getting bigger on the Ultra. It has a huge upgrade on the way, and the S27 Pro’s cell is also larger than the S26 Ultra. We knew the numbers already, and now we have visual confirmation too.

The battery pictures were leaked today for the Ultra and the Pro. It’s hard to read the data off the pictures because they are too blurry and low-res. But they were sourced from the Safety Korea database, so they are definitely legit. At least we saw the marker’s name in the database.

The battery maker is ZhuHai CosMX Power in China. S27 Ultra’s battery is assigned the serial EB-BS958DBY, by the way. And there’s a parallel EB-BS957CBY model for the Galaxy S27 Pro as well. Part of those codes are actually the model numbers for these two phones, AKA SM-S958 and SM-S957. Need a quick price reference for Samsung phones? Anyway, the exact battery figures were quoted by China’s 3C authority back in July. So we’ve known for a while what the Galaxy S27 Pro has. This newcomer will be the first with a 5200mAh battery. And the same goes for the S27 Ultra, which is the first with a 5700mAh cell.

Those aren’t true capacities, by the way. Those are assumed to be the marketing numbers. The actual cell size on the Ultra is 5534mAh (true rating). Galaxy S27 Pro has a 5087mAh total capacity. Most Android phones put deceptive figures on the spec sheet, but usually they are close to the actual numbers.
5000mAh cell size has been a staple for Galaxy phones, but we can’t be happier that they are leaving the average behind. Yes, they are still far behind Chinese flagship makers, but it’s definitely a step in the right direction. Extra capacity and the usual set of battery optimizations are going to put Samsung over the top. Keep watching the news for more updates.
