Tecno Camon Slim Clears EEC Certification while Geekbench Reveals Chipset and RAM

Tecno Spark Slim and Pova Slim were one and the same. They only varied by network support. One was 5G with a Dimensity 6400 chip, and the other was 4G with a Helio G200. But now they are working on Tecno Camon Slim. And this newcomer will be different from the others in more than one way. 

Tecno Camon Slim has been certified by EEC. At the same time, the phone was tested at Geekbench, and some of its specs were released on their public database. The testing platform didn’t give the name. It was actually the EEC file that helped decipher the phone’s title.

The model code for this handset is CN6. Or otherwise known as Tecno's new Camon mobile. There were no other details of any significance on the EEC site, but Geekbench has plenty to spill. The performance scores are already in for this handset.

The single-core score hits 997 points. And multiple cores yield 2950 scores on the Geekbench test version 6.6. The numbers fit as far as the hardware goes. The scorecard showed that the device was actually tested on a 2.4GHz octa-core chip. And there’s at least 8GB RAM on the Camon Slim 5G.

The core architecture reminded us of the Dimensity 7100 SoC, which, by the way, is currently used on the Infinix Note Edge. That device uses Android 16, and so does the Camon Slim 5G. We assume these two handsets have the same performance, at least on paper.

Maybe the Camon Slim is the Note Edge substitute. This would explain why the phones have matching specs. Infinix Note Edge had a 6.78” curved AMOLED of 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. And the battery was 6500mAh. Camon Slim could also have the exact screen and a different design. But it’s just a theory. The EEC certification has put Camon Slim 5G on our radar, so we’ll be keeping an eye on it.
