Tecno Phantom Ultimate — A Novelty Rollable Smartphone Concept Under Development

Tecno has just unveiled a concept Rollable smartphone that's sending shockwaves through the tech world. Aptly named Tecno Phantom Ultimate, the rollable concept phablet redefines the mechanical limits consistent with horizontally expanding devices. Tecno's R&D labs have outdone themselves with this mind-boggling creation.

The Phantom Ultimate sets itself apart with its mesmerizing rollable screen. In a mere 1.2-1.3 seconds, it transforms from a 6.55-inch smartphone into a jaw-dropping 7.11-inch mini tablet. The magic happens with a single-drive motor system, conveniently located on the top right side of the phone.

But that's not all! When rolled, the Phantom Ultimate retains a compact form, with the bonus screen nestled on the back, acting as an Always-On Display. Now, let's talk specs. The Tecno Phantom's new mobile boasts a 7.11-inch On-cell LTPO AMOLED panel, showcasing a resolution of 2,296 x 1,596 pixels and a pixel density of 388 PPI.

With 100% DCI-P3 color gamut support, the Phantom Ultimate promises a visual feast that's hard to match; however, it's essential to remember that these mind-blowing numbers are part of the concept and remain unverified.

Tecno has also taken care of the device's practicalities. The concept device measures a slim 9.93mm to ensure it fits snugly in the user’s hand. Plus, there's protective glass for the sliding area and a textured back for a secure grip. So the device won’t slip out of the hand.

Now for the bittersweet news - the Phantom Ultimate is purely a concept. It’s not going on retail anytime soon. Technological hurdles aside, the mere existence of such a groundbreaking concept reimagines the whole foldable and bar-styled smartphone industry. Who knows, maybe we'll witness rollable phones in our daily lives sooner than expected. So stay tuned for more updates like this.
