Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 & V Flip 2 Go Viral with Multiple Live Images Ahead of Debut

We all knew Tecno wouldn't keep silent for long after the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 debut. They will want to land their very own contenders in the class. Well, Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 and V Flip 2 are just around the corner, and with the build-up, some live images of the duo have gone viral.

Tecno Phantom V Fold 2

SpillSomeBeans gave up three closeup shots of V Fold 2. There's a rearview in the first image, and we have to say the chunky camera module really complements the Pro nature of this Fold. There are two ordinary lenses, but the third is a massive telephoto.

That front shot makes it seem like an ordinary slab phone. The aspect ratio is so pure that people won't be able to tell there's a Folding phone in your pocket. That's the beauty of it. Also, this phone will end up with two selfie cameras.

Some reports say that V Fold 2 has a 50 MP first camera. And with the model AE10, Geekbench implied there's a Dimensity 9000+ pulling everything together. We also hear that 8/256GB Phantom V Fold 2 will cost ~USD 1,065 (~PKR 296,000).

Tecno Phantom V Flip 2

There were three images of V Flip 2 in this leak, where the first one showed a long aspect ratio of it when unfolded. It would seem that the trench down the middle of this phone is barely noticeable. But chunky bezels and punch holes are about the same as we expect.

Then, we get to the backside, and boy, does it look one-to-one copy of Xiaomi Mix Flip. But we can't blame Tecno for it. There are only so many ways you can innovate in this section. Their last flip had a super small dial on the back, almost watch-sized. So, a full-view cover makes Flip 2 better already.

V Flip won't be as powerful (via the Geekbench scorecard). They tested it with Dimensity 8050. Even though it is a potential flagship, we don't think it can even compete with Infinix GT 20 because the industry has moved on to D8200 Ultimate SoC. But the expected ~USD 632 (~PKR 176,000) price tag is a silver lining.
