Vivo V20 and V20 SE to Unveil Soon; Leak Reveals The Design and Specification Sheets

The sequel to the still-recent Vivo V19 series, featuring the V20, V20 SE, and the V20 Pro is set for launch on September 24. The teaser campaign hints that the Vivo V20 Pro might be a re-released Vivo S7 5G. But the V20 and V20 SE have allegedly been leaked in press renders — giving us a preview of their design and specifications.

Vivo V20 

Vivo is introducing a clear photography-focused build with the V20. It has a 44MP selfie camera that supports the so-called ‘eye’ autofocus, AI stabilization, and 4K video shooting.

Around the back, it’s a familiar look — built on the new ‘big eye’ design language the phone-maker is adopting — available in Midnight Jazz and Sunset Melody. The main 64MP camera sits on top of an 8MP wide-angle lens and a 2MP monochromatic sensor. The wide-angle unit also covers depth-mapping and closeup shots.

The display is an AMOLED 6.44” FHD+ screen that reaches a 91.2% screen-to-body ratio but no exceptional touch response or fluid refresh rates to be seen here. There’s a notch carved into the top and an on-screen fingerprint scanner embedded into the panel. It has a sleek, lightweight footprint.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 720G processor is at the heart of the phone, powered by a 4,000 mAh battery that charges over 33W.

The storage capacity goes up to 128GB while multi-tasking is handled by 8GB of memory. It’s a typical mid-range setup, decent but certainly doesn’t make V20 a performance-beast.

Vivo V20 SE

The more pocket-friendly edition shares its AMOLED display with the base edition, along with the notch, dimensions, and resolution but the bezels surrounding it are ever-so-slightly bigger — capping the screen-to-body ratio at 90.12%.

Its front camera has a similar feature set but lacks the ‘eye autofocus’ and only manages 32MP shots. The camera back doesn’t reflect the new design playbook, however. The V20 SE comes in a more somber Gravity Black and Oxygen Blue color palette.  It’s a generic three-camera setup arranged inside a lengthened bump. The ‘multi-purpose’ 8MP wide-angle camera works with a 2MP depth sensor and a 48MP standard camera. 

The last-gen Snapdragon 665 handles processing, backed by a 4,100 mAh battery that powers up over 33W Flash Charge as well. The 8GB + 128GB configuration is also common between the two editions, as is the in-display fingerprint reader.
