Vivo Y01 is Coming to Pakistan Soon with Helio P35 Chipset, and 5,000 mAh battery

Vivo’s Y-series features some of the most budget-friendly models, including the recently unveiled Vivo Y21T. But the cheapest current-gen phone in the lineup is the new Y01. It’s an entry-level Android that offers the most barebones features for an equally affordable price. And it’s now headed for Pakistan.

Vivo has yet to make the announcement. And our sources haven’t revealed the launch date, but the Vivo Y01 should be rolling out in the coming weeks. As is often the case for entry-level Androids, the specs don’t have much to say. But here’s a quick overview, including the features and expected pricing.

Firstly, the Vivo Y01 display is a 6.51” IPS LCD, and it produces an unremarkable 720P resolution and houses the phone’s front camera inside its notch. The front camera features a modest 5MP image sensor; the single rear-facing camera is 8MP with a narrow f/2.0 aperture.

The processor at the heart of Vivo's new Y model is the old, low-end MediaTek Helio P35. The Y01's powered by a 5000 mAh battery over the obsolete micro-USB port. No fast-charging support is offered.

Plus, the Android 11 x FunTouchOS uses the trimmed Go edition of Android to make up for the weak hardware. It comes in 2GB/3GB memory variants and 32GB of expandable internal storage. WhatMobile puts its starting price at Rs. 19,999.
