Vivo Y20s Price in Pakistan (Launched); A Y20 Upgrade with 18W Fast Charging and Extra Storage

Vivo just launched the Y20s in Pakistan for a budget-focused price. This mid-ranger is a mild refresh of the Vivo Y20 — released in Pakistan in late September last year. Here are the upgrades it offers.

Vivo has added a new color to the palette, more storage, and a slight camera reconfiguration. In addition to Obsidian Black, the Vivo Y20s comes in Purist Blue. But the shell and frame being identical, are still made of plastic. The edges are chamfered, the chin is weighty, and a notch bleeds into the screen. The fingerprint scanner is merged with the power button.

The base storage has been upped to 128GB from 64GB. Multi-tasking is handled with 4GB of memory. Vivo Y20s runs on the Snapdragon 460 chipset — the same as the Y20. It’s the latest budget mobile platform from Qualcomm. A 5000 mAh battery and the FunTouchOS 11, based on Android10, power the phone. The Pakistani variant for Y20 didn’t have fast charging, but the Y20s charges over 18W. Albeit, it’s a dated USB 2.0 interface.

The camera is also shared between the two variants. On its back, the Vivo Y20s features an f/2.2 lens with a 13MP sensor. A pair of 2MP depth and macro sensors allow for portrait enhancements and closeups. But the camera app lacks a night mode feature. Overall a nice addition to the Vivo price list.

Flip Vivo Y20s over to find a 6.51” screen with an IPS LCD underneath. It produces a 720P resolution at a standard 60Hz refresh rate. The selfie camera has a wider f/1.8 lens and an 8MP sensor.

The speakers don’t have stereo support (similarly-priced Xiaomi phones have the feature). A reliable 3.5mm headphone jack is present too. While the Y20 started from Rs. 25,999, the Vivo Y20S is priced at Rs. 29,999.
