Vivo Y36i Joins the Foray; Unveiled with Dimensity 6020 Chip & 90Hz Display

The giant smartphone maker Vivo is on a roll with its latest Y-series lineup. Positioned in the entry-level segment, the company has launched a new device in China, Vivo Y36i, that packs a punch in camera & hardware categories. Another impressive thing is its price, making the Y36i stand out amid the competition.

At the heart of the Vivo Y36i lies the powerful MediaTek Dimensity 6020 processor, a 7nm marvel previously seen in models like the Honor Play 50 Plus and Vivo Y35+. Accompanied by 4GB of physical RAM and an additional 4GB of virtual RAM, this device ensures smooth multitasking and efficient performance.

Storage won't be a concern here since it packs a generous 128GB capacity. The 6.56-inch IPS display steals the spotlight, offering a crisp resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels, complemented by a buttery-smooth 90Hz screen refresh rate. The 180Hz touch sampling rate enhances the responsiveness.

Photography enthusiasts won't be disappointed either. The latest Vivo budget mobile’s front features a 5MP camera neatly tucked into a waterdrop notch, while the back sports a dual-camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary shooter and an Anti-stroboscopic Sensor that minimizes interference, ensuring clear captures of screens or water surfaces.

One of the Y36i's highlight features is its battery – a whopping 5000mAh, supported by 15W charging. While some may argue that 15W isn't groundbreaking by today's standards, the Y36i's focus on battery longevity is a significant advantage.

Available in vibrant purple and gold hues, the Vivo Y36i comes at a price tag of 1,199 yuan (China), approximately $170 (PKR 48,000). As affordable phones often face criticism for weaker processors, the Y36i turns the tables by prioritizing performance without compromising on essential features.
