Vivo Y51s Announced with Exynos 880 Processor, 48MP Triple Cameras, and a Punch-hole Design

Vivo’s budget 5G portfolio grows as it adds the newest Vivo Y51s to its ever-expanding line of mid-range 5G smartphones. The Y51s launched in China is powered by a Samsung-made processor and follows the new design trend Vivo set with the X50 series.

The chamfered back of Y51s, rounded around the corners, is polished and painted in black, blue, and iridescent white shades. A narrow rectangle-shaped camera island with neatly trimmed edges is mounted on the top-left corner — featuring three lenses and an LED flash.
The Camera Array on Vivo Y51s uses a 48MP primary camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro lens and can shoot in 4K. The front-facing camera has an 8MP underneath.

Flip the Y51s over to find a modern, edge-to-edge Vivo screen that’s punched in the top-left corner, surrounded by light bezels all around. It’s an LCD panel that stretches 6.53” from one corner to the other, delivering an FHD+ resolution and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Secure the device with the side-mounted thumbprint reader that doubles as the power button.

Samsung’s Exynos 880 processor with its 5G antenna, eight cores, and Mali-G76 GPU handles processing behind the scenes, coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage. A 4,500 mAh battery powers the Vivo Y51s internals, augmented further with 18W fast charge over a previous-gen micro-USB port.
Vivo ships the device with the Android-10-based FuntouchOS 10.5. It’ll go on sale in Vivo’s domestic market on July 29 (following which we expected it to land in neighboring Asian markets). It starts at a pocket-friendly Vivo price of $256 (~43,000 PKR without taxes).
