Xiaomi Redmi 12C Global Variant Revealed Hands-on and In-box Ahead of Launch

Global Redmi 12C is long-anticipated, and Xiaomi plans to debut it soon. The intensity of the wait is forcing the rumor mill to spill its details web-wide before launch. The fresh batch of leaks entails a real-life image of the phone revealing its design and a view of its retail box. To no one’s surprise, it’s the same phone that launched in China; bizarre size, chamfered build, triple-camera setup, texturized back shield with a diagonal pattern, and a dimpled silo for a biometric reader. 

Another live shot captured global 12C phones packed and stacked inside retail boxes to reveal what users should expect to see in Xiaomi stores. There’s no change; it’s the typical white box with the Mi logo, some product images slapped on the front, and IMEI stickers added on top. On the front, the Xiaomi new C model has a large 6.71-inch IPS canvas with HD+ resolution and partially uniform bezels enveloping it. Under its drop-notch lives a 5MP selfie unit capable of doing 1080p videos at 30FPS.

Redmi endows 12C with a dual camera setup headlined by a 50MP primary unit. The deep black accent on the camera pairs well with its colorways; shadow black, deep sea blue, mint green, and lavender purple.

Its core is Helio G85, featured with 4-6GB of RAM, 64-128GB of storage, and 512GB of expandability using an SD card. A battery capacity of 5000mAh is the most noteworthy feature of 12C. It supports a standard 10W recharge using a Micro USB port. Additionally, the phone has a loudspeaker, LPDDR4X RAM, eMMc 5.1 storage, and a 3.5mm Audio jack.
