Apple iPhone 16 Pro Gunning for the World's Thinnest Display Bezels; Details Leaked

It could be that Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro has the world’s most flattering screen and slimmest screen bezels ever. It’s not official yet; it will not be until September when it launches. But many Chinese tipsters have suddenly started raving about 16 Pro screen bezels. And we were baffled to see the claimed numbers. We thus decided to let you in on this fun news.

iPhone 16 Pro must’ve got its bezel width down to 1.2mm. That is, if these leaks hold. These claims seem plausible because Apple has been gunning for extreme zero-bezel screens for many years. They didn’t vanish entirely. We will still find black bars around the panels. But those next iPhones are almost there.

Everyone saw the iPhone 15 Pro take the bezels to new extremes in Apple’s record. We don’t know the exact number. But it was close to 1.71 mm and about 90% screen-to-bezel ratio. If Apple did push the screen further out and the bezels were only left 1.2 mm thin, everyone with a working pair of eyes would be able to tell the difference.

That slim bezel show is not only for Apple's iPhone 16 Pro model. We are positive that the iPhone 16 Pro Max will be taking a crack at it. Those leaks from China colored our expectations with even slimmer bezels for the Pro Max. They say its bezels will be 1.15 mm.

All of us know that the target rivals for these iPhones will probably be the Galaxy S24 series. But Samsung’s collection won’t stand a chance if the leaked numbers come true. So we’ll be anxiously waiting for the official launch and details to arrive.
