Honor 9X Lite is All Set to Hit the Pakistani Stores this Week, Pre-orders Begin Tomorrow

An exclusive source notifies WhatMobile that the Honor 9X Lite (which was introduced earlier last month), is making a debut in Pakistan this week. The phone will go on pre-booking from May 13 – though we don’t have the Official Huawei price details yet.

With the Honor 9X Lite, the sub-brand brings back the almost-obsolete wedge-notch design, complemented by a modern bezel-free look. Its 6.5” front panel is bordered by a thin 4.2mm chin and slim side bezels that contribute to a decent 91% screen-to-body ratio.

The display of Huawei's new model delivers an FHD+ resolution at a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and thanks to the higher screen-to-body ratio, (which means a more compact form factor) the overall build allows for an ergonomic grip.

Go around the back to find a reflective, solid gradient look, that houses a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and an elongated rectangle-shaped camera bump. The shell comes in a vibrant Emerald Green and a more muted Midnight Black.

The main camera has a 48MP (f/1.8) lens behind it, which is sandwiched between an LED flash and a 2MP depth assist lens. For shots in low-light conditions, the phone features the ‘Super Night’ mode that uses AI to stabilize the frame and enhance long-exposure photos.

Honor picked the previous-gen Kirin 710 chipset to power the Honor 9X Lite, which claims to increase GPU and CPU performance by 130% and 75%, respectively, over its predecessor. Speaking of performance, the GPU can be further boosted with the ‘GPU Turbo 3.0’ feature which affords you a more seamless gaming experience.

The processor is combined with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage (expandable up to 512GB). The internals are hooked up to a 3,750 mAh battery, that charges over a USB 2.0 port. The Android-Pie-based EMUI 9.1 version running on this hardware is equally dated. Honor is sticking to the older UI because that lets the company ship the Honor 9X Lite with Google Mobile Services onboard.

The pricing won’t be revealed until May 13, but WhatMobile expects the phone to start anywhere from 35,000 to 39,999 Pakistani rupees.
