Honor X7e Plus Now Has a 4G Variant with Snapdragon 685 and 108MP Camera

The difference is in the chip. Honor X7e Plus was unveiled last month, and it had a Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 SoC. That’s what made this phone a 5G device. But the new variant they released today has a Snapdragon 685, which turns it into a 4G handset. This is everything you should know about the Honor X7e Plus 4G.

We’ve spent years covering devices with a Snapdragon 685. This is an aging chip, well past its prime, and almost unfair to use on a 2026 handset. What stings the most is the Adreno 610 onboard GPU that gets only 4/100 points on the NanoReview.

There is a silver lining, though. 4G devices like this usually end up in Pakistan, so we have our fingers crossed for the X7e Plus as well. And, of course, this is a 6nm chip, so at least it’s not power-hungry. Anyway, the rest of its specs match the Honor new budget model with one exception.

They’ve put a titan 8100mAh battery on this newcomer that has the potential to last three days per charge for light users. And there’s 45W charging backup as well. Honor tested the cell for a 6-year lifespan until the health falls below 80%. And it’s not just the endurance.

The phone is built to last with its IP69K rating. It’s safe from pressured jets of water at high temperatures. And SGS gave it a proper crush and drop safety rating from at least 2.5 metres. Durability-wise, this is the best you can get out of a phone.

There’s a catch still. They had to cut corners on the screen. The display you see on the front is a 6.87” TFT LCD. And TFTs are infamous for low color production and poor viewing angles. This LCD only has 720p resolution on the Honor X7e Plus 4G, though the brightness is pretty high (1020nits).

The exception we talked about earlier: they’ve put a 108MP main camera on the 4G (vs. 50MP main on the 5G version). There’s an extra assist sensor on the side. But the 5MP selfie remains the same. The Audio boosts to 400% (dual speakers). The fingerprint is on the side. Its system is Android 16 Magic OS 10. Honor X7e Plus 4G’s price was not confirmed at launch, though.
