The Honor X80 series has at least three devices that we know of. Honor X80 Pro Max is one of them, and it seems to have the biggest battery we’ve seen on an Honor phone. This newcomer is built around an 11,000mAh cell, and the fast charging support is rated 90W input. That kind of battery has endurance in days, not hours. Not long ago, this battery would’ve only shown up in power banks and rugged phones. Honor X80 Pro Max is a 6.8” flat AMOLED device with very thin bezels. There are rounded corners, and the resolution of this particular display will be 2788 × 1280 pixels. There are more pixels per inch than a 1080p FHD+ display. Most of the hype for X80 Pro Max is around its Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 SoC. The Gen 5 platform has a 2.6GHz boost clock and eight cores. More than that, it’s now a 4nm chip, so it’s way more efficient too. It’s a midrange phone by all means. Honor X80 Pro Max is also reported to be fully water-resistant. We assume it’s IP68 or above with a shockproof design. The phone can take a hit or two when it falls. Leak talks about a flagship biometric authentication for the X80 Pro Max, which could be an ultrasonic fingerprint reader. These kinds of specs put the Honor X80 Pro Max squarely in the Samsung Galaxy A57’s territory. But the Honor phone has almost twice the battery capacity.
