Tecno Pova Curve 2 is coming to the market after the six-month-old first-gen Pova Curve. There are more than a few upgrades expected here. They might bump the resolution to 1.5K (1220p). The content fidelity has definitely gone up on this midranger. The reports say the screen is 6.78” with a 144Hz refresh rate. Both those things were already there on the Pova Curve 1. Anyway, these aren’t the changes that will dramatically change your experience on the Pova Curve 2. It will bring an 8000mAh battery, which is the biggest in its price class and a solid upgrade. The older Pova Curve 5G only had a 5500mAh cell, which worked at the time, but the competition has gotten much stiffer since then. Tecno obviously wants to keep up. Tecno will stick to 45W charging on this device. The chipset category is under debate, though. It’s more than possible, Pova Curve 2 5G is built around a Dimensity 7000 series chip. It will also see an IP64 rating, the same as last time. The lowest RAM and storage on it is 8/128GB, and the upgrade levels up to 12/256GB. The rear camera seems to be a 50MP + Auxiliary lens pair. The screen is AMOLED, so we are hoping to see a screen-laced fingerprint ID. This newcomer will stump Samsung’s Galaxy A series all the way up to Galaxy A57 due to its expected low price.
