Vivo X500 Ultra will be the top model in this year’s lineup, and it’s reported to have the best camera setup in the whole group. Every device so far in the X500 lineup has been tipped with a flagship chip, so it’s fair to assume that the Ultra will have a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro doing the heavy lifting. Android 17 will have come out by the time Vivo X500 Ultra has gone official, so that’s the operating system we’ll be getting here. It will be Origin OS 7 skin. These Vivo phones are built around zoom cameras to provide the closest possible results to a DSLR, and this year’s X500 Ultra will probably grab a larger 200MP periscope telephoto lens. They haven’t decided on the exact sensor size yet, because the options need to be evaluated for their pros and cons. But the final choice will be one of these three sizes: 1/1.12”, 1/1.3”, or 1/1.4”. It’s said that they scrapped the idea of putting a 10x optical zoom camera on the phone. This will now fall on the 200MP main camera that will support in-sensor zoom. Of course, the third camera will be a 50MP ultrawide. All X500 models will debut with LOFIC HDR, so we assume the Ultra has the same tech in its latest 3.0 LOFIC version. Vivo X500 Ultra is a full metal design with official IP68/IP69 waterproof ratings. And yes, this newcomer will level the playing field with the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra.
