The first folding device from Apple is the iPhone Ultra. A leak confirmed the new name, which replaces the rumored iPhone Fold title. We’ve seen its design many times. They are going with the original Google Pixel Fold’s look here. The same size and wide format is being used on the iPhone Ultra, which everyone agrees is the best aspect ratio for videos and content. Taller aspect ratios waste a lot of screen space with full-screen videos. There’s a wide camera deco behind the handset. Two lenses can be seen there, but we can’t tell if it uses a telephoto sensor or not. iPhone Ultra is a full metal build, and it’s supposed to measure 4.5mm (unfolded). It’s not really touching the 4.2mm thickness of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, but it’s definitely close. The frame only goes to 9.5mm when folded. The renders have one selfie camera on the cover screen (centered). There’s another on the folding screen at the corner. By the way, the thickness of the phone is quite balanced, all things considered. We hear its battery could be 5,800 mAh. Samsung hasn’t gone past 4,400 mAh on its Galaxy Z Fold 7. Even the Z TriFold had a smaller 5,600 mAh three-split cell. So Apple has a chance at beating Samsung by a wide margin. iPhone Ultra is still Apple’s first folding handset, so don’t expect perfection here. Samsung could pit its Galaxy Z Wide Fold against the iPhone Ultra.
