Oppo A6s is new to the series with 4G support. It checks all the boxes: good battery, fast charging, almost perfect durability, and more. The performance leaves something to be desired, though. We have a 7000 mAh power pack here. It is not a Si/C battery, which is why the Oppo A6s is super thick at 8.61mm. And the display is just your garden-variety 6.75” IPS panel. Oppo phones tend to have a wider aspect ratio. It’s the same with Oppo A6s; the resolution is HD+ (1570 x 720p). The phone can push pixels at a 120Hz refresh rate, and the display has a decent touch response of 240Hz. Oppo A6s easily hits 1125 nits HBM brightness, even though it’s an LCD panel. We also have a 16MP selfie shooter cropped into the display. A 50MP rear Main camera does a pretty good job of taking stills, but the video quality is limited to 1080p 30fps. Its video recording is bottlenecked by the weak Snapdragon 685 chip. Oppo A6s plugs into an 80W fast wired charger for refills. There’s a side fingerprint reader as well. This is a new device, but the firmware is the older ColorOS 15. TUV officially rated the Oppo A6s IP69 water and dustproof. If not for the cheap IPS panel, the Oppo A6s could’ve been in Samsung Galaxy A26 or A36’s league, but Samsung’s products have much better value in comparison.
