Oppo A6i Plus is also a 5G phone, like the original vanilla Oppo A6i. But there’s a bigger screen and a higher capacity battery here. They’ve built this newcomer around a 6.75” IPS LCD that has 1,125 nits peak brightness. That’s a bit higher than A6i’s 1,000 nits brightness. But the resolution is stuck at 720p HD+, and there’s a 120Hz refresh rate. We see a punch hole on the screen that’s also home to a 5MP selfie shooter. And the Oppo A6i+ grabs a side fingerprint reader among its essentials. The operating system is actually the older Android 15 with ColorOS 15. And it’s driven by a Dimensity 6300 (6nm) SoC. Oppo A6i Plus runs at 2.4GHz, and the games are all handled by a Mali-G57 GPU. By the way, Oppo has put a 6,500 mAh cell on this handset. And it can be recharged with a 45W adapter. There’s no headphone jack here, owing to an official IP69 rating. Oppo A6i Plus has a fully waterproof design, and this is a step up over the A6i’s IP65 rating. The rear camera is serviceable, but not that exciting. It’s only a 50MP main shooter, which is assisted by a 2MP monochrome lens. The RAM on this new Oppo A6i Plus is 8GB. The storage is 256GB. It may be a little expensive, more than the Samsung Galaxy A17 itself, but it’s still one of the best devices at that price.
